NEXT STEPS .. Roster Spot Acceptance and supplemental information


NEXT STEPS - Please review and complete all steps below carefully


Thank you for accepting your roster spot at FC United (Cedar Rapids) and FC United (Des Moines)!

Below are some steps to ensure you are properly registered and ready for the upcoming season.

If you have not yet accepted your invitation to join the team, please do so asap by logging into the MANAGE ASSIGNMENT link on your roster invitation. Roster spots not accepted within the 12-hour period may be extended to another player. Late registrants may be assessed a late registration admin fee.

1.    Uniforms ~ DEADLINE ~ July 12, 2019 These will be shipped directly to the address you enter upon ordering!

To prevent delays and ensure you receive your kit by the beginning of the fall season, you must order by the deadline above.

Returning players will retain their current jersey numbers. New players will be assigned an available number. If you are a returning player you may order your uniform kit or replacement kits now. If you are a new player, a number will be assigned and communicated so that you may order your uniform. Your uniform kit will be shipped directly to the shipping address you provide upon ordering.

FC United (Cedar Rapids) - Numbers will be assigned by the club admin.
FC United (DSM) - Numbers will be assigned by your primary staff coach.

4. RainOut Club Broadcast Messages
The club will post text alerts that will update parents or players of any changes to training due to weather, etc. As a standard practice, these updates are issued at or by 3PM. We strongly suggest that you register your phone (and your player) so that you can receive these alerts.

5. TeamSnap -
You will receive an invitation from your Team Manager welcoming you to the team and your assignment to your TeamSnap account. Your competition calendar will be loaded onto your account where you need to indicate any weekends of conflict for visibility and planning purposes. 

Steps:
a) Accept Invitation to TeamSnap
b) Complete information (include emails and best contact numbers) for Parent/Guardians and player as applicable
c) Upload photo of your player

2019-2020 Team Competition Calendars (projected) ~ Please refer to our Team Plans (projected) to preview the age group competition schedules. The projected schedule is subject to change as all events must adhere to club guidelines and approved leagues or events. Plans may be modified based on region (CR or DSM) and team development plans or assigned leagues. These as subject to change at the discretion of the club & coaching staff.

Financial Assistance ~ We value providing soccer opportunities to those in need. Follow the financial assistance application process using the link below, or contact your coach or club administrator for assistance with the process. 

Our financial assistance requires the family/player to become actively involved in one of the club fundraisers, in addition to the FC United Midwest Classic tournament which requires volunteerism from every FC United family. A club administrator would contact you and discuss several options.

1)  Age Group Matrix  (Confirm player age group for that specific season)


2)  Email the appropriate contact (below) based on the player's current age group to request a player evaluation. 

3)  Complete the Participation Form at the bottom of this page prior to attending an evaluation or trial session.

U5-U8 Little Strikers Program / Pre-Academy
REGISTRATION IS OPEN YEAR-ROUND - Our Little Strikers Pre-Academy Program (ages 5-8) is intended to introduce and enhance technical development in a free-flowing environment that encourages independent thinking, decision-making and self-discovery. The program consists of weekly clinics, typically on Fridays, and local games. If you have questions regarding these programs please contact:


U9/10 Academy

If you are interested in joining a U9-U10 team please contact us and complete the request form below so that we can extend a player evaluation and placement. Registration for our Academy program is open year-round, pending space and roster spots.


U11-U19 Premier Select Teams

Fee Structure

U5-U8 - Development League (seasonal) ~ TBD
U5-U8 - Pre Academy / Little Strikers (Year-round including winter clinics) - $295
U9-U10 Academy Program ~ $600
U11-U15 Premier Select ~ $1,195
U16-U19 Premier Select ~ $1,095

NEW Discounts for 2019-2020 ~
Multi-Child Discount - Up to $300 off for 3rd sibling registration fee
Multi-Child Discount - Up to $500 off for 4th sibling registration fee

In situations where families select the Payment Plan feature, the multi-child discount is applied at the end of the contract.


Fee Adjustments ~
The above fees include early bird discount that are in place during the commitment period. For players accepting bids or requesting roster spots after the commitment period, an additional processing fee of $55 is applied to the annual dues. 


Payment Plans ~

Payment #1 - June 17 (U11-U12) or June 27 (U13-U19) (depending on age group)  $200 Commitment Fee is the first payment.
Payment #2 - Aug. 15, 2019
Payment #3 - Sept. 15, 2019
Payment #4 - Oct. 15, 2019
Payment #5 - Nov 15, 2019


The commitment fee is applied as a was to secure your players' roster spot, meaning other potential players would be waived or wait-listed. As such, the commitment fee is non-refundable. 

Payment plans are subject to a $5 transaction fee per payment. This payment fee may be canceled at any time, should the full balance be paid at any point during the payment plan period. 

Competition Fees - This fee is deposited into your assigned team account will cover competition fees, including league & tournament entry, as well any potential miscellaneous team expenses such as team bench and team communication software. The team fees vary depending on team/age group and range between $150 - $350 per season. 

Uniforms & Training Gear are not included in the club membership dues.


Fall competition fees are due in late July.
Winter competition fees are due in November
Spring competition fees are due in late January


Financial Assistance Program ~

Families may apply for financial assistance where considerations are made for full or partial awards, based on meeting financial assistance requirements. 

This assistance program is restricted to club membership dues / training & facility fees. Families will still be responsible for their share of the player's competition fees. You can refer to the Financial Assistance tab on our website for more information regarding the program, application process, and deadlines.

Financial Assistance APPLICATION DEADLINE - June 10, 2019

The Financial Assistance form requires a $100 deposit to secure a roster spot. This fee is refunded at the end of the season if all club accounts and teams accounts are current.
