FC United Santa's Elves Mini Clinic 2024

LOCATION : All sessions will be held at the FC United Indoor Soccer Facility at 8610 Milburn Rd, Cedar Rapids, IA

SEVERE WEATHER: In the event of postponement due to severe winter weather, to ensure the safety of all participants, make up dates will be Friday Jan 3rd (& Jan 10th ~ if needed) same times.

BRING: Clean Soccer cleats/or Running shoes, soccer training apparel, properly inflated soccer ball, & water.
We do have some soccer balls for use

Come have some fun with our Elves before the Holidays!
Focus will be fun, while playing games and learning soccer skills.

Super Skills' programming will provide an additional opportunity for players to improve their technical ability and proficiency. This training will emphasize individual technical skill that develops ball control and ball striking. Technical skills are improved through repetition which allows the player to learn how to break down the skill and improve specific actions within the skill.

The purpose of these sessions is on augmenting technical proficiency through the following:

1. Technical Accuracy - Demonstrating and emphasizing proper technique as the most important objective.

2. High Repetition

3. Progression

3. Execution of the focal skill

Various skills taught during these sessions include:

Dribbling
Escaping and evading pressure
Body posture
Passing / Receiving Technique
