For ease and efficiency, the Team Check in will be electronic . Please ensure that you have completed the electronic check-in process and emailed your roster and player cards to the Midwest Classic Tournament Committee by :  Sept. 12, 2025


Submit the items highlighted below  BY EMAIL TO:  [email protected]

SUBJECT LINE: "Club/Team Name/Age Group"

1. Team Roster (including any approved Guest players)
2. Player Cards
3. US Club or USYSA Medical Waiver - DO NOT SUBMIT, but must have  either one of these on record for each player competing at our event. 


PLAYER CARDS

Although there will not be an official check-in prior to a game, Player Cards may be requested at the field by the game officials should there be any questions or concerns regarding a players' ability to compete in this event.

Any players competing outside of their age group must have written approval from the Midwest Classic Tournament Director.

Any player concern related to the age or validity of a player will be directed to the registered team's Club Technical Director for resolution only at the Tournament Headquarter.

PARKING  (FREE)

There is absolutely NO parking on County Home Road and areas other than the Tuma Soccer Complex parking lots. Violators will be ticketed and/or towed. Please follow all City of Cedar Rapids / Tuma Soccer Complex rules.

U8-U19 (boys and girls)

Registration Fee:

U9-U10      $575
U11-U12   $695
U13-U19   $750

For age groups U11-U19, please register your teams in the correct age group and designate your flight preference (ie highest, lowest or tbd by the tournament)*

Highest - State/Premier level teams and Regional teams
Lowest - Competitive teams to Recreational teams

*The tournament committee will group teams as best as possible as we consider the information you provide as well as the known caliber of teams within a division. We will do our best to accommodate flight preference requests. Please be aware that some flights may be consolidated, depending on entries within a division. All final divisions will be determined by the MWC Tournament Committee.

While we will be cognizant of coaching requests, the tournament scheduler does not guarantee any teams from having potential coaching conflicts. 


Tournament Format
U9-U10 teams will play festival format (3 games. No championship)
U11-U19 division champions will be determined based on point accumulation through pool play.

Referee Format
U9-U12        1-ref system
U13-U19     3-ref system


GAME CLOCK
Referees will manage the game clock to start at the stated times in order to keep the event on schedule. Should team(s) not be on the field to kick off on time, the clock will start running. Injury time is not added to games during the event. Game duration is managed at the discretion of the event's Tournament Committee and Tournament Director.

PLAYER CARDS


Although there will not be an official check-in prior to a game, each participating club MUST have of their players currently registered for the current seasonal year and all participating players must either be currently registered with their club, or a Guest player form submitted in order to participate in this event.

Any players competing outside of their age group must have written approval from the Midwest Classic Tournament Director.

Any player concern related to the age or validity of a player will be directed to the registered team's Club Technical Director for resolution at the Tournament Headquarter.



Parking Reminders

PARKING REMINDERS -

We ask you to be mindful and respectful of traffic flow. Cars will not be allowed to STOP in the driving lanes of the parking lot inside the complex. Please park cars and then allow players to get out for safety and to keep traffic from becoming congested.

We also ask for our guest to be respectful of the many volunteers who will be at the complex assisting with traffic as well as other roles. These volunteers graciously donate time to assist with making this a quality event.

NO PARKING OR STOPPING - 

Cars will not be allowed to stop or park along County Home Road. Players are NOT to be dropped off along the roads at all. The Sherriff will be ticketing and/or towing those violating these rules.
