Our 7 Core Principles:
1. Focus on the player
At FC United we are here to inspire, motivate and assist in
building successful people
2. You can play
without going broke.
At FC United we believe that every child should be able to
participate in club soccer if they choose to.
FC United soccer club is a non-profit club. We make it a point to keep the fees as low as
possible so all members can continue to participate. We also provide a Scholarship for members
that need some assistance, as we know we all could use a hand at one time or
another. The Club also participates in Fundraising events throughout the year to pay for miscellaneous maintenance,
equipment, and continuation of keeping the fees minimal.
3. You get back
what you put into it.
At FC United we are full supporting of a multi-sport club. Children need to try new things to continue
to grow and develop in different aspects of their lives. We recognize that this is important factor in
a child’s future development and fully support it. On the same end we understand the need to
ensure a balance with the multi-sport relationship. At FC United we strive to provide the tools
the kids need to be a successful player, these tools are taught during their
training sessions. To ensure this
balance we feel:
·
Family
Balance: It’s the responsibility of the
player to ensure that they are effectively distributing their practice schedule
and games/competitions. The club will
offer various practices times during the week.
We expect the player to make 2 of their team’s scheduled practice and
encourage that they attend the third session if applicable.
·
Club Balance:
It’s the responsibility of the club to ensure there is various practice
sessions available for the players to attend.
4. Open door
policy.
FC United strives to be a positive experience for all members of
the club – player, parent, coaches, etc.
We encourage you to provide recommendations to help improve the value
that FC United has come to provide and the value people have come to expect
from us. Our Board, Coaches and Team
Managers want your feedback and suggestions in order for us to continue to
learn and grow.
5. Family is
important.
Our club was built around Family and we appreciate you making FC
United part of your extended family. In
today’s society it is not uncommon for families to be going many directions and
moving at a very fast pace. We encourage
you to take 15 minutes out of your day to ask your children how did it go and
maybe even step outside with a ball and just play. We also have several Club Family events
throughout the year to bring everyone together.
At FC United, family is not only important; it is one of our value
statements.
6. Good isn’t
always good enough.
At FC United we know that learning is important to be a successful
player, coach and club. As we expect
players to attend practice to successfully build their skills, our coaches are
committed to continuing to train and learn. This philosophy is endorsed from
the Director of Coaching and permeates to the Team Coaches. The Board is meeting monthly to ensure we are
meeting the Philosophy of the club and identify areas of strength as well as
opportunities to grow.
7. Motivation
doesn’t always come from within.
FC United is here to help build the children’s dreams and
aspirations. We provide a positive and
rewarding environment for them to try new things and open their imagination to
what they can inspire to be. We HIGHLY
encourage parents to support this, as well. We are strong advocates to the “We
Coach, They Play, You Cheer” philosophy.
